Sisters Striving for Excellence, Inc. is a not- for-profit organization exclusively created for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. Promoting public awareness, providing information and educating underprivileged inner city kids/teens/college students in our communities is our main objective. Supporting the value of sisterhood and professionalism while representing a character of integrity is our central goal.

 

SISTERHOOD

One of our objectives is to improve female relationships for the greater aspect of the community. The intention of the organization began with college roommates wanting to promote sisterhood throughout the campus of Savannah State University. The women were trying to figure out a way to eliminate barriers that constantly tear women apart. The ladies had the idea that if they could promote sisterhood, honesty, and reliability to females, then that alone would constitute in making a difference within themselves, as well as, others. And it has!

 

PROFESSIONALISM

We are committed to preparing college women for the various facets of all professions and life after college. Providing resources, training, and opportunities for our members to enhance academically and socially, we are committed to professionally developing our members strengths through networking opportunities, fundraising and professional development.

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Our commitment to the community encompasses encouraging, empowering and promoting physical, mental, spiritual, and health awareness. We do this by paying homage and educating those within our community to all of the causes that is plaguing our society.
